Why Uganda?


The journey of our very 1st water project began on July 27th, 2014, when we establish a collaborative effort with Generosity Water, a fellow humanitarian organization dedicated to ending the clean water crisis in developing countries. Uganda is a country located in sub-Saharan Africa with a population of just over 36 million people. Of those 36 million people, almost 40% of them lack access to clean water and over 65% percent lack access to clean sanitation. These circumstances lead to a higher probability of infection and other water-borne diseases.

Through the generosity of our donors, we were able to raise over $5,000 in just 50 days to fund an entire water project that serves 663 people in the Alik Iping village in Aluka Parish, Uganda. According to Generosity Water, the region, time of year, and the intricacies of the project itself, construction and completion took between 10-12 months to complete.
